Enjoy either luxury villa accommodation or luxury B&B near Lucca in Tuscany, Italy. Vallicorte is located in pine woods and surrounded by delightful gardens, terraced olive groves and fruit orchards, with stunning views reaching to the sea.

This beautifully restored 300 year old Tuscan farmhouse has many original features and retains a traditional atmosphere. Furnished in country house style, Vallicorte has all the luxury and comforts needed to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. There are four pretty double bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, and all have views out over the gardens or the valley.

After enjoying a lovely meal on the terrace with its views across the pine woods to the sea, enjoy a stroll in the grounds and watch the sun setting; or snuggle up with a glass of wine in the cosy living room in front of the log-burning Inglenook fireplace.

About Your Hosts

John and Berenice are wonderful hosts who take special care of their guests and ensure a memorable stay. They are happy to give any advice they can in the planning of your activities (only applicable on B&B bookings).
If they are not on hand when the house is being rented, then the caretaker and manager of the property, Roberto Domenichini, is always available to give advice, help and support

Out and About

Vallicorte is perfect for a restful holiday where you can relax and unwind. It has wonderful painterly views if you are an artist. If you are passionate about Italian food, cookery classes can be arranged with an excellent local chef Gianlucca Pardini (see website www.vallicorte.com). He runs a cookery school nearby where you can learn how to make homemade pasta, wonderful Italian bread and local Tuscan receipes. His speciality is using seasonal produce in great vegetarian dishes. Half-day lessons are from 60 euros per person including food and wine. Wine tasting at local fattorias, horse riding, tennis and golf or boating on Lago Puccini can also be arranged.

Visit the medieval walled town of Lucca or the beach at Viareggio and Forte di Marmi, all approx. 20 – 30 minutes drive from Vallicorte. Florence with its history, wonderful architecture and terrific shopping, can be reached in just over the hour by coach or car from Lucca. Florence holds a music festival in May, and opera, theatre and excellent art exhibitions are on all through the year, operas are performed on the lake at the famous Torre del Lago opera festival in July and August. There are open-air concerts and modern music festivals during the summer in Lucca.
